display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9VAWzxTNirQ?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The first booth for which I stood in line at SHOT Show&#8217;s 2015 Industry Day at the Range was Korth GmbH.\u00a0 You know that I love revolvers and I just had to bust some Teutonic caps in the <a title=\"Korth on ThinBlueFlorida.com\" href=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/?p=8967\" target=\"_blank\">Korth Sky Marshal<\/a> in 9mm that we heard about a few weeks back.<\/p>\n<p>In the video above, I shot my first six shots.\u00a0 I did get to shoot more; they were just not on &#8220;tape.&#8221;\u00a0 My impressions of the gun were that it was a very easy shooting, comfortable handgun.\u00a0 At 19.75 ounces, the Sky Marshal is two ounces lighter than a Glock 26, but the revolver feels a little more stable firing the 9 x 19mm bullets because of the wheelgun&#8217;s lack of a reciprocating slide.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, the Korth does not have the capacity of an autoloader, but six rounds of nine-mil are nothing that should result in a <em>geshundeit<\/em>!\u00a0 Not shown is the use of the Korth speedloader, which holds the rimless bullets in the same fashion as an<!--more--> HKS loader&#8211;with rotating detents released by a central knob.\u00a0 It functioned just fine when I tried it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9058\" src=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal.jpg\" alt=\"Korth Sky Marshal\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1366\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal.jpg 1800w, https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-300x228.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-1024x777.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1800px) 100vw, 1800px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-laser-and-rail.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9057\" src=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-laser-and-rail.jpg\" alt=\"Korth Sky Marshal laser and rail\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-laser-and-rail.jpg 1800w, https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-laser-and-rail-300x210.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-laser-and-rail-1024x715.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1800px) 100vw, 1800px\" \/><\/a>On video, I babied the extractor star to see how well the cases came out.\u00a0 In subsequent tries, I inverted the revolver and struck at the extractor rod to shoot out the cases.\u00a0 Obviously, this worked better.\u00a0 Overall, I did not find that the casings hung up any worse than with revolvers shooting rimmed bullets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-held.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9056\" src=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-held.jpg\" alt=\"Korth Sky Marshal held\" width=\"1800\" height=\"1200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-held.jpg 1800w, https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-held-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Korth-Sky-Marshal-held-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1800px) 100vw, 1800px\" \/><\/a>As you may know, Industry Day is a time to get acquainted with the guns, not test and evaluate them.\u00a0 There is limited amount time to stand in each shooting lane and shoot because there are others in the queue behind you (999 other journalists to be exact).\u00a0 Think of it as getting to shake hands with the gun, rather than take it to lunch.<\/p>\n<p>I was not disappointed shooting the Korth Sky Marshal.\u00a0 It had good manners for me and the subsequent reporters I observed.\u00a0 Expect the MSRP to be north of $800.00.<\/p>\n<p>Randall<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first booth for which I stood in line at SHOT Show&#8217;s 2015 Industry Day at the Range was Korth GmbH.\u00a0 You know that I love revolvers and I just had to bust some Teutonic caps in the Korth Sky Marshal in 9mm that we heard about a few weeks back.
