\"SHOT<\/a>SHOT Show is the fifth largest convention in Las Vegas.\u00a0 But larger still is the Concrete Convention next March (well, it has a different name, but you get the gist).\u00a0 I guess any convention makes sense to its attendees.\u00a0 At dinner, writers Richard, Aaron<\/a>, and I were trying to figure out what kind of seminars you would have for the concrete, asphalt, and construction crowd.\u00a0 “Rebar: Friend…or Foe?” I said dramatically.\u00a0 Laughing, Richard suggested I use it as the title to an article.\u00a0 I think I also suggested, “Concrete Stamping and the Modern Aesthetic.”\u00a0 Rebar was better.<\/p>\n

I have been busily running around the Show floor for the last two days looking for interesting things.\u00a0 I have talked to many nice folks.\u00a0 When Richard said there is a game where you call out Danger Zone! when you spot a guy in 5.11 pants with a MOLLE backpack, I glanced down at my attire and called out myself.\u00a0 It is a common look for this conference.\u00a0 There is a tanker truck of testosterone in the law enforcement sections of the SHOT Show.\u00a0 I even saw a guy in a very nice tan suit wearing a matching coyote brown MOLLE-laden pack.\u00a0 Mixed messages.<\/p>\n
