Lauderdale.\u00a0 I spoke to a representative for this product at the FLEPRU conference.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/SmartWater-CSI-Beware.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6527\" alt=\"SmartWater CSI Beware\" src=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/SmartWater-CSI-Beware.jpg\" width=\"939\" height=\"324\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/SmartWater-CSI-Beware.jpg 939w, https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/SmartWater-CSI-Beware-300x103.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 939px) 100vw, 939px\" \/><\/a>SmartWater CSI&#8217;s technology was developed by Phil Cleary, who retired from law enforcement service in the U.K. following injury on the job.\u00a0 His brother is a forensic chemist and together, they came up with their proprietary<!--more--> water-based solution that uses rare-earth metals to offer billions of unique fingerprint-like codes.\u00a0 The SmartWater solution is visible under ultraviolet light.\u00a0 It is heat resistant and is impossible to remove, according to SmartWater.\u00a0 It can easily used to mark such ungainly things as catalytic converters or copper wiring, for instance.<\/p>\n<p>This product has the potential to deter crime and well as solve it, and that is the approach many south Florida law enforcement agencies are taking.\u00a0 Public roll-outs of SmartWater CSI have taken place at the Ft.
