is turned to access each successive tube of ammo.\u00a0 It would warm my heart to have all these shotshells on tap in a critical incident.<\/p>\n<p>According to SRM Arms, the 1216 design features include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ergonomic compact design along with the flexibility of a detachable magazine provides unsurpassed firepower and tactical advantages.<\/li>\n<li>A detachable, high capacity magazine holding 8, 12 or 16 rounds of either 2 3\/4 or 3&#8243; shotshells<\/li>\n<li>Roller delayed action provides fast cycling and reduced felt recoil.<!--more--><\/li>\n<li>Overall length is only 34 inches with a standard 18 inch barrel.<\/li>\n<li>An integrated picatinny rail combined with a three face handguard rail offers the shooter a broad range of options for mounting optics, sights and tactical accessories.<\/li>\n<li>Pushpin disassembly and break open design allows for easy field stripping and maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Ambidextrous receiver and controls can be set up for either right or left handed shooters.<\/li>\n<li>NFA versions reduce the length to 28 or 25 inches while still delivering a 12 or 8 round magazine (models 1212 or 1208).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/fp_1216.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-501\" title=\"fp_1216\" src=\"http:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/fp_1216.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"117\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/fp_1216.png 450w, https:\/\/thinblueflorida.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/fp_1216-300x78.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a>I really like the ambidextrous construction of the gun.\u00a0 It can be configured to eject shells left or right and the non-reciprocating charging handle and safety can be moved to either side.\u00a0 There are magazine toggles on both sides of the fore-end.<\/p>\n<p>In watching the video, it appears the magazines can be change fairly quickly, too.\u00a0 I would have liked to have seen some &#8220;speed reloads&#8221;
